Morning prayer on Sunday was taken by the Rev Heather Aston. In her sermon, referring to the readings about Abram and Nicodemus, she discussed God’s clear instructions about new beginnings.
During Lent we may fail in our Lenten promises of new beginnings but, although God wants us to be obedient to His wishes, He is also forgiving of our lapses. In being penitent in Lent we can look forward to the glory of Easter. The lessons were read by Pauline Arnold and Rev Aston.
The service on Sunday will be a eucharist at 9.30am celebrated by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
