Gorse fire at Lizard airfield
Firefighters were called to Predannack airfield near Mullion yesterday after a report of a gorse fire.
Two appliances from Mullion attended the call just after 10pm where they found two hectares of gorse ablaze.
Crews used beaters to extinguish the fire.
A crew from St Keverne also tackled a gorse fire in the Lowland Point area yesterday evening.
Six firefighters from St Keverne attended a call just before 8pm and found half an acre of high gorse on fire. Crews used beaters to extinguish the flames.
