Having recovered from their pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, Helston Theatre Company are putting their comedy hats on again as they prepare their one act play by Pam Valentine, Alternative Accommodation.
The play will be performed three times – to the people of Helston on March 28 and 29 in the Epworth Hall, and at the one act play festival in St Austell the following week.
Paul Blaber, Helston Theatre Company's chairman, said: “We do not usually present our one act play to very local audiences, so we are thrilled at this opportunity.”
Valentine's play sees Anna, who is recently widowed, visited by her three grown-up children, who all have different plans for Anna – but will she share their enthusiasm? Paul added that it is “funny, touching and will pull at the heart strings.”
The play is the first part of a double-bill in memory of George Shutter. The second half of the evening will see members of Helston Theatre Company present a song and dance selection, entitled Musical Memories. Tickets are available from Heathercraft, Helston, or on the Box Office number, 01326 568936.
