On Sunday, the third Sunday in Lent, the Rev Stephen Tudgey celebrated holy communion at 8.30a.m.
A eucharist for all service was held in the church hall at 10.30am. The celebrant was Mr Tudgey, gospel reading given by Jan Winslade and the pianist was Michael Hoeg.
This was followed at 6pm by sung evensong with Mr Tudgey officiating and lessons were read by John Pyatt and Barbara Martin. The choir sang George Dyson's setting of the "Nunc Dimittis" and Michael Hoeg played the organ.
Events this week: Thursday, 9.30am, Charlie's Angels, church hall; 10.30am, holy communion, church; 11.15am, prayer group. Saturday, 11am, the final session of the Lent course, choir vestry “environmental issues”. Sunday, 8.30am, holy communion; 10.30am, Mothering Sunday family service, followed by refreshments, church hall; 6pm, sung evensong.
