Sunday's service for the third Sunday of Lent was taken by the Very Rev Roger Bush, Dean of Truro Cathedral. The first lesson and the Psalm were read by Yvonne Bellinger and the second lesson by Francoise Ziemann. The Rev Judy Harris read the Gospel.
This week's services will be on Wednesday at 6.30pm (Stations of the Cross), Thursday at 10am (holy eucharist with the Rev Len Jepp as celebrant) and Sunday (Mothering Sunday solemn eucharist) at 9.30am with the Rev Samuel Marsden as celebrant. It would be lovely to see lots of people, young and not-so-young at the Mothering Sunday service. BST begins on Sunday morning so clocks need to be adjusted! Choir practice will be on Wednesday at 7.15pm.
Envelopes are still available for Lent savings which this year will go to the Farming Community Network.
St Bart's is holding a spring sale in church on Thursday, March 27 following the 10am service. Various stalls, raffles and refreshments. Proceeds for church funds.
The Lent ecumenical group will meet in the Fore Street Methodist church on Thursday at 2.30pm. The theme is 'the world of St Paul'. The annual Parochial church meeting and election of churchwardens will take place on Thursday, April 24 following the 10am service. Churchwarden nomination forms and PCC application forms can be obtained from Maureen Williams.
