Members met on March 12, the first meeting of the New Year as the February meeting had to be cancelled because of the horrendous weather.
The evening started with the singing of Jerusalem As it was our AGM, it was attended by a VCO, Avril Woolcock, who supervised the procedure. Apologies were received and minutes of the last AGM were read and approved. Secretary Ms J Blunn read her 2013 report as did treasurer Mrs G Harvell, our president also read her report reminding us of all the activities we had enjoyed, trips etc.
Yet again, due to the generosity of our local community and visitors, Maureen was able to declare that through our fundraising during 2013 we had been able to raise a £500.00 donation to Cornish Hospices.
The business of voting for a new committee was carried out, and president Maureen Williams was unanimously re-elected for a further year.
We are now looking forward to our 2014 program, which we will be given at our April meeting: April 30, St Ives; April 28, yearly quiz evening at the Harbour Inn - Teams of four are being asked to participate.
