METHODIST CHURCH: Sunday is Mothering Sunday and the 11am service will be led by Sarah Fuller. Junior Church is also held at 11am. The soup and dessert lunch held on Saturday was a great success and thanks are sent to everyone who helped at and supported the lunch. The soups and desserts were delicious and a great time of fellowship was had. On Sunday the congregation welcomed Hugh Trezise who stepped in to take the service in place of Tony Nicholas who had suffered a fall. The congregation wish Tony a speedy recovery. On Friday the Hands Together Prayer Hour is held at 1pm in the Sunday Schoolroom .
The LAMB Circuit are holding the Circuit Prayer meeting at 7.30pm at Leedstown Chapel on Monday March 31.
VILLAGE HALL: On Friday there is a Bingo evening - everyone is welcome and eyes down at 7.30pm. There are cash prizes and a fun evening on offer. The Blues and Greys hold their next Country and Western evening on April 5. The evening begins at 8pm and Jim Warton is performing.
The hall AGM will be held on Monday, April 7 at 7.30pm and anyone wishing to attend would be most welcome. It is hoped to begin a gentle Pilates class on Wednesdays between 9.30-10.30am. Please call 07966 675 59 to show your interest and find out more details.
HAPPY FEET PRE-SCHOOL: Race Night for Happy Feet was a huge success. A massive £1,632 was raised, which includes Barclays Bank matching what was raised. Thanks are sent to everyone who showed their support and many thanks to Catherine Johns for organising the event.
Please note that week beginning March 31 the children's sessions will be at the village hall from 9.15am The youngsters have been reading from the Hungry Caterpillar and creating their own caterpillars out of junk modelling.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED: The Tuff-Enuff - World End race is a High Endurance 12K & 5K Obstacle course with loads of mud that will be held at St Buryan on Sunday, May 25. Volunteers are needed to help marshal the event between the hours of 7am-5pm. All volunteers will get free barbecue on the day and free tickets to the after party "Apocalypse" with live music.
