Visitors to the village hall in Budock on Saturday had a chance to chow down on a big breakfast, with all the funds going to the village’s playing field.
The fundraiser saw the playing field committee frying up a storm in the kitchen, with full cooked breakfasts or bacon rolls on offer to the steady stream of people keen to support the work of the group.
There were also plenty of stalls for those keen to pick up a bargain, with bric-a-brac, books and even a raffle.
The playing field committee has moved into the digital age recently with a new facebook page at www.facebook.com/BudockWaterPlayingField, useful for anyone wanting to keep up with events and the groups fundraising.
The association’s next event will be a big spring clean at the playing field on Saturday, March 29, with organisers saying: “If you have green fingers, love a bit of pruning or happy with a rake - we would love to see you.”
