On Saturday a very successful spring bazaar was held. It was well attended and opened at 3pm by Dr Ian Wort.
Brisk trading took place at various stalls which were laden with goods and cream teas were served throughout the afternoon. A total of over £800 was raised for chapel funds.
The morning service for Mothering Sunday was conducted by Pastor Bill Reed and the organist was John Gilbert. William welcomed Bill to Chynhale and read the notices, the congregation was welcomed by Crete Pooley and flowers were provided by Sue Piper. Bill's theme was the Samaritan women at the well and he also incorporated the congregation’s thoughts on the gifts and attributes of mothers into his prayers.
Cards were given to all the ladies of the congregation by the young people.
