Two works of art worth £3,250 were stolen from the Beside the Wave art gallery in Arwennack Street in Falmouth between March 18 and 19.
The pieces, a £2,500 charcoal drawing called Gurnards Head by Miles Hesseltine which was rolled up to be sent for framing, and a 30cm by 40cm oil painting called Beach Wagon by Paul Wadsworth, worth £750, are believed to have been taken from the gallery during opening hours.
Another work, Cranes Falmouth Docks by Alasdair Lindsay, worth £1,400, is believed to have been torn at the same time as the thefts.
