POLICE have now confirmed that a body has been recovered from Porth Towan Beach.
The body of a man was discovered and is now being taken to the Royal Cornwall Hopsital mortuary for a post mortem and identification procedures.
It is believed that the body was found by a member of the public who asked staff at a nearby bar to contact the emergency services.
It is understood that the body may have been in the sea for some considerable time.
The Coroner has been informed and initial enquiries suggest the death is not suspicious.
Also at Perrenaporth beach reports were made to the police that another body had been found but it turned out to be a boiler suit filled with hay.
