Volunteers from Penlee RNLI rescued a fishing boat which was reported to be in difficulty one mile south of Newlyn Harbour.
All weather lifeboat Ivan Ellen was launched on Friday, 6 June, Falmouth after the coastguard alerted the volunteer crew at approximately 5.40am.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "The Newlyn based fishing vessel Emma Louise had a steering gear problem and was left unable to manoeuvre. The crew of the Ivan Ellen quickly set up a tow and the vessel was taken back to Newlyn."
