THE two outstanding Cornwall Junior Cup Western section fourth round ties were settled on Saturday with Mawnan scoring twice in the last four minutes to defeat Falmouth Athletic 3-2.
Mark Russell's spectacular own goal put Athletic in front after two minutes, but Mawnan got back on level terms just before half-time from a Damien Stevens penalty.
Athletic regained the lead five minutes from time with a goal by Jake Harvey, but Gregg Renfree equalised two minutes later with the same player snapping up the winner.
They will now meet Penryn Athletic who fought off a strong challenge from division three side Ruan Minor to win 1-0.
In a tightly contested game of few chances, Mark Kent scored the crucial goal ten minutes from time.

League leaders Mawnan Res won a hard-fought game 1-0 away to Carharrack with Andrew Prynn heading the crucial goal.
Helston III went down 2-1 to Perranwell Res and Marazion drew 1-1 with Rosudgeon/Kenneggy after the Blues scored through Matt Gendall.
In division three Falmouth Albion Res were leading Mullion Res 1-0 when the game was abandoned after a Mullion player sustained a serious injury.
Neil Southall hit a hat-trick in RNAS Culdrose Res 4-1 win against Troon Res. Lee Polson had the other goal.
