CHELTENHAM NORTH 13pts CAMBORNE 5pts
CAMBORNE, hard hit by injuries, went down to a battling defeat in atrocious conditions in their South West Two at Cheltenham North.
In a makeshift threequarter line Colts players Cameron Bone and Rob Floyd did not let the side down.
All the scoring in a dour game came in the first half after the home side went 5-0 up early on with an unconverted try.
Another try plus a penalty saw "Town" 13 points in arrears but from a forward drive tireless flanker Kevin Penrose dived over to reduce the deficit.
With conditions deteriorating further defences were on top in the second period.
The Cherry and Whites will be thankful for a day off next weekend to regroup before highflying Torquay visit the Recreation Ground for the next League fixture.
