AFTER nine weeks the Red Jackets Eagles top the Jolly's Camborne-Redruth Premier Pool League by themselves for the first time since week one after recording a 12-3 away victory over Spice of Life. Despite the score line, the match was not all one-sided and indeed it was the home side who took a 1-0 and 2-1 lead with Matt Styles beating the previously unbeaten Adam Clift. The Eagles now head the league by a couple of points over White Hart A'.
Elsewhere, previous leaders White Hart "A" didn't have everything their own way as they eventually defeated Tricky Dickies 10-5 after the match had been in the balance at 5-5. Despite being on the losing side, Tricky's Mark Aleksy won all three of his frames.
Waggoners Arms kept their recent good run going as they won their fifth consecutive match in a tense 8-7 win over Tuckingmill Tigers. The win was all the more remarkable as they trailed 4-7 before winning the last four frames.
