TRURO COLTS 63pts
HAYLE COLTS 0pts
TRURO Colts played their first Merit Table game at home to an under strength Hayle side on Saturday and not surprisingly chalked up a big win.
Hayle defended well but in the ninth minute Tristan Hobbs went over for the first of Truros 11 tries. Dan seal converted.
Truro followed up shortly afterwards with a try from Curtis Newberry after a crossfield kick by Dan Seal was chased up brilliantly by winger James Milliner whose pressure forced the Hayle defence to fumble the ball on their line and Curtis cleaned up.
The next two tries, both scored by hooker Stuart Milliner, came from great mauling by the Truro pack.
Truro finished the half with a converted try from Harvey Bell with a great run from the ten to touch down under the posts for a 29-0 lead.
The second half continued in the same vein with tries from James Milliner, Curtis Newberry, Damien Pye, Tom Bryant and two from new signing Mitch Ewans. Seal converted two.
Man of the match: Damien Pye.
