On Tuesday, July 8 members had an outing to the Lizard. A few members arrived early hoping to photograph Choughs while the area was quiet, but learnt they had moved along the coast to Kynance Cove. There were some heavy showers but the weather was lovely in between.

Members headed to Kynance Cove after a visit to Ann's Pasties.

On Thursday members met at Gweek Seal Sanctuary, where after a wet morning the weather cleared to sunshine, which helped members enjoy the afternoon. The seals and sea lions were very active and many members were able to photograph them in action; swimming, playing and blowing bubbles in the water. The feeding times were very eventful with many seagulls arriving to challenge the animals for their fish, which provided some good comedy images.

Our summer programme continues with meetings at Perranporth on Thursday to photograph surfers and Pine Lodge Gardens on Saturday.

We are a friendly club with plenty of members who are willing to share their knowledge and help you to improve your photography. The new season will start on Thursday, September 4 at 7.30pm at The Space, Penryn Rugby Club. The summer programme is now available and can be found on the club website. If you are interested in photography and would like to learn more about joining the club, or one of the summer events you can visit the website at www.penryncameraclub.org.uk or speak to the chairman Mark Walker on 07518 299379.
