On Thursday, July 8 members had an outing to Perranporth. Although only a couple made it, there were many surfers in the sea to photograph. We had to keep an eye on the incoming tide and keep moving backwards to keep our feet dry, but there was plenty of action in the water to capture.

Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse quite early in the evening and sent us scurrying for the shelter of the car. In anticipation of more bad weather on Saturday, our trip to Pine Lodge Gardens was cancelled. As the weather was much better than expected, several members turned out to watch Penryn Carnival instead.

Our summer programme continues with a morning trip to St Mawes by ferry on Thursday followed by an evening visit to Gyllingvase and Swanpool. On Sunday we will meet at United Downs Raceway for an afternoon of Banger Racing and Caravan Chaos.

We are a friendly club with plenty of members who are willing to share their knowledge and help you to improve your photography. The new season will start on Thursday, September 4 at 7.30pm at The Space, Penryn Rugby Club.
