UPDATE: Trewen Kevern appeared before Truro Magistrates’ Court this morning, and was remanded in custody to appear at Truro Crown Court on September 2.
Kevern is the second man to be charged with the murder of 72-year-old David Alderson from Falmouth.
Kevern, aged 21, from Ashfield Road, Falmouth, is jointly charged with the murder Mr Alderson who was found deceased near Carharrack in Cornwall on 18 January.
Kevin Cooper, aged 33, has entered a not guilty plea to a charge that he murdered the former driving instructor.
The body of 72-year-old David Alderson, from Old Hill was found at Wheal Maid copper mine at Carharrack on January 18, sparking a police manhunt.
Cooper has already been remanded in custody to appear before the court on November 11 for trial.
Kevern appeared before Truro Magistrates’ Court this morning, and was remanded in custody to appear at Truro Crown Court on September 2.
He will appear at Plymouth Crown Court tomorrow to make an application for bail.
