The RNLI has been chosen as the nominated charity for the Falmouth to Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta and locally there will be a large presence of volunteers, but more help is needed.
Guy Botterill, community fundraising manager, said: “Throughout the event the lifeboat station will be open for tours, and the public will have the chance to step aboard our Severn class lifeboat to have a look around.
“With an influx of people expected we’ll also be doing street collections around the town and this is where you may be able to help. Are you able to spare a few hours of your time to support the RNLI?
“We need more volunteers to help collect vital funds for the charity, if you think you may be able to help us.
“Even if it’s just for an hour or two, we’d really like to hear from you.”
Anyone who’d like to offer their help should call Brian Taber on 01326 378696.
