The Pelican of London was originally built in France in 1948 as a double beam Arctic Trawler and measures 44.4m in length.
Her conversion to tall ship was completed in 2007 and she is now based in Dorset and operated by the charity Adventure Under Sail.
Traditionally rigged with three masts, Pelican's unique main mast barquentine rig and sail plan is derived from the Barbary Coast pirate ships.
