THINGS will go bump in the night this weekend at the Poly in Falmouth as it opens its (creeky) doors for a rather haunting film festival.
The art centre will be screening a selection of silent short horror films from the dawn of the 20th century, featuring new scores especially commissioned by the Abertoir Horror Festival.
The shorts, La Legende du Fantome (1908), Frankenstein (1910), Le Spectre Rouge (1907) and The Jest (1921) will be introduced by Paul Shallcross. Paul has also composed and will perform piano pieces to accompany each film.
The frighteningly good event takes place on Saturday from 7.30pm, to book your seat call 01326 319461 or see www.thepoly.org
