ST IVES TOWN 3 THREEMILESTONE 2

Threemilestone crashed out of the One and All sports Arthur Pearce Cup mainly due to a poor defensive display littered with errors.

A underhit back pass that gave stand-in 'keeper Marc Taylor no hope of making allowed St Ives in for their first goal.

Despite a better start to the second half another mistake in defence saw St Ives double the score, but James Bright pulled a goal back for the 'Stones in the 57th minute, but soon after the two goal lead was regained as the 'Stones defence seemed to lose the ball in the sun and Town looking much sharper than the visitors again capitalised.

In the last 15 minutes the 'Stones dominated the play but could not find a way through the stubborn Town defence until a minute from time when Bright scored his second. But it came to late to find the all important third that would have taken the game into extra time.
