TRURO CITY LADIES 6 SALTASH UNITED 1
TRURO City dismantled a depleted Saltash side on a heavy Treyew Road pitch to win 6-1.
Truro started brightly and took the lead on 15 minutes when Sophie Weedon raced on to a through ball from Dani Barr to fire home.
The second goal was not long in coming when Jodie Newark knocked in a Barr free kick and Truro were in total control.
Weedon and her strike partner, Sarah Badham, were stretching Saltash all over with their movement and pace and it was Badham who supplied a great pass for Weedon to hit her second.
It was a great passing move that ended with Jodie Newark tapping in a cross from Ayeisha Dyer to give Truro a 4-0 advantage as half time arrived.
The second half followed the pattern of the first and Truro kept up the pressure getting a further two goals in the opening 15 minutes, a penalty by Barr and another for Weedon.
Emma Pemberton scored a consolation goal.
