HAYLE 15pts
KINGSBRIDGE 0pts
HAYLE Lions struggled to make any real impact on this match against Kingsbridge at the Memorial Ground.
Coach Jason Atkinson looked an unhappy man as he watched his promotion hopeful team stutter on a cold, but dry afternoon.
Hayle's man-of-the-match Luke Ellis opened the scoring with a try, but few fans thought that a five-point lead at the interval was enough.
In the second half, action man Ellis then set up stalwart player Kevin Mankee who got his teams second try with Paul Lello kicking a penalty goal and a conversion.
Kingsbridge were unable to take advantage of a lethargic Hayle display and failed to put any points on the board despite several very good passages of play.
The league leaders Barnstaple were winners away at Ivybridge and Hayle currently six points behind them, with a game in hand. Hayle play third-placed Bude on Saturday.
Scorers - Hayle - tries; Ellis, Mankee, pen Lello con Lello.

BODMIN 7pts
Bodmin's coach and former star player Andy Richards has got Bodmin playing with more purpose. The students, however, are not as strong this season. Bodmin's try was scored by Flowerdew, and converted by Trevarthen.
