HELSTON COLTS 7 wENDRON 0

A FINE day saw Helston kick off and make one of their regular slow starts, with a lot of end to end football with both teams' defences being kept busy.

Shots at the Wendron goal came from Ashlee Garner, Harry Kelsall, Alfie Hamilton and on form Josh Bosustow, who had a cracking shot rebound off the post. Wendron had their chance, with goalie Bonnie Stanley making a good save.

The breakthrough came for Helston after several good saves from the Wendron goalie, with an unlucky return ball coming to the feet of Ashlee Garner, who slotted away his first. A few minutes after the re-start, Harry Kelsall found the back of the net with a calmly taken shot.

The half time score was Helston Colts two, Wendron nil.

The second half saw Helston take control of the game, bringing on their subs. An early shot from Ashlee Garner put the pressure on Wendron. Build up play starting at the Helston end led to an excellent goal from Josh Bosustow. Jack Wray had a shot come off the post. Then, after four good saves from the Wendron 'keeper, he couldn't stop a shot from Harry Kelsall, who scored his second.

Helston's regular defence of Lee Padgeth and Joe Norman, with a lot of help from Josh Bosustow, kept the Helston goal safe, and all contributed to Helston's next three goals, two from Ashlee Garner, and one from Josh Bosustow.

Helston's man of the match was Harry Kelsall.
