Police have issued a warning after the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy in Mullion.

The incident took place between 5pm and 5.25pm on Wednesday, February 7 when the boy was delivering newspapers with a 15-year-old friend near to the village's fire station on the B3296.

As the pair walked along the road, a man driving what is believed to be a blue Vauxhall Cavalier stopped and got out of the car.

The man approached the boy and, grabbing him by the arm and collar of his jacket, attempted to drag him into the car.

The boy lashed out with a newspaper he was carrying and ran off.

He was uninjured but very shocked by the incident.

The man is described as aged between 20 and 30 years old, of slim build, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 8in tall with short brown hair.
