A two mile section of the A30 near Camborne will be resurfaced from February 12, ensuring a reduction in traffic noise and providing a smoother ride for drivers.
The work which is due to be completed by February 15 will cost £60,000 and will involve both lanes of the westbound carriageway and the westbound exit slip road at the Treswithian junction.
The work will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am the following day. Traffic signals and a convoy system will be in operation on the main carriageway whilst the slip road will be closed to all traffic.
Westbound drivers who want to leave the Treswithian junction will be diverted at the previous junction (Tolvaddon) and on to the A3047 west to Treswithian.
Drivers who want to use the A30 westbound from Tolvaddon to Camborne West (Treswithian) will be diverted to follow the unclassified roads through South Tehidy, Roscroggan and Rosewarne to Treswithian.
The work is expected to cause moderate traffic delays, but has been scheduled overnight to cause the minimum possible disruption.
