Following an extensive underwater survey of the car carrier Hoegh Osaka, carried out by SubMarine Services, the ship was not dry-docked.
Repairs to the ship were made alongside County wharf. The Hoegh Osaka was at the centre of a major rescue and salvage operation in January when she suddenly took on a massive list whilst sailing down Southampton Water. The pilot advised the master that it would be prudent to leave the main channel and save the ship by grounding her.
Hoegh Osaka sailed from Falmouth last week and is in the Mediterranean heading for the Montenegrin port of Bar to load.
