Perranarworthal's The Norway Inn and The Pandora Inn at Restronguet have scooped more awards. This time for excellence as owners St Austell Brewery paid tribute to the hard work, loyalty and dedication of its landlords and staff. The annual St Austell Brewery Estate Awards celebrated the achievements of those running the 166 inns and pubs across Devon and Cornwall owned by the company.
Adam Luck, estate director said: "I'm very proud of the achievements of all of our staff at the brewery and the teams who work hard every day to uphold the traditions of St Austell Brewery in making our pubs so welcoming and keeping them right at the centre of their communities."
Among the award winners were also Managers of the Year' Paul and Ellie Pitt of the Harbour Inn, Porthleven.
The Norway Inn, at Perranarworthal, won the training pub of the year and was described by human resources director Vicky Crossingham as "being an inspiration to us all" in the way it trains its staff.
As always there was tough competition in the food category, with the accolade for Food Excellence' (Tenancy) going to the Pandora Inn, at Restronguet Creek, for the second year in succession.
Justine Stockton of 5 Degrees West, Falmouth, picked up the marketing business of the year (managed), just days after being crowned Britain's Best Premium Bar for the second year running.
