Cornwall travelled to the Rileys Club at Plymouth to play the Plymouth and District Snooker League in their annual encounter and put in a good performance to come away with 22-11 victory to retain the trophy.
The senior snooker team won 9-5 with Barrie Mcintosh producing an excellent performance with his opponent only scoring one point in twoframes. Barry had breaks of 53 & 30. Phil Lane also had a 51 break in his 2-0 win while Alan Hurley was the other 2-0 winner. Rob Bennetts, Chris Timmins and Steve Downing all drew their matches and Graham Denning lost 2-0 to a very good opponent.
The Juniors also won 9-5 with 2-0 wins coming from Bobby Southworth, Jamie Read and Alec Snell.
Daniel Barsley, Darran Lock and Simon Hosking all drew their matches, but Robert Charman 2-0.
The Billiards team won 4-1. Chris Mitchell had an 87 break in his game and Alan Snell had a 53 break.
Other winners were Geoff Lingard and Charlie Gay and Derek White was the unlucky loser.
The last rounds of the county competitions have just been played in the last month.
There are four juniors still left in the snooker individual. Daniel Barsley (Polbathic) had a 77 break in his 3-2 win over Phil Lane (Bells Court) and Bobby Southworth (Bells Court) had a 56 break and 2 40+ breaks in his 3-1 win over Bob Stephens (Bugle WMC).
Jamie Read (Redruth RBL) and James Hendry (Lostwithiel CC) both won 3-0 to book their place in the last eight.
In other matches, Steve Downing (Clinton SC) won 3-0 against Kevin Steed (Dobwalls SC) and Paul Williams(Bells Court) defeated Richard Lloyd (Bude SC) 3-1.
Reigning champion, Chris Timmins (Godolphin Club) had a scare against Scott Bray (Clinton SC) coming from 2-1 down to win 3-2 with the help of a 64 break in the decider.
In the Billiards, Steve Downing had a superb 140 break in his win over Chris Mitchell (Dobwalls), Steve also had breaks of 79 and 51 while Chris had breaks of 58 and 43.
Geoff Lingard (Camelford WMI) defeated Keith Olver (Hessenford) while Ian Hunn (St Dominic) had six breaks over 40 defeating Alan Snell (St Cleer Liberal Club). Dave Clue (Menheniot SC) is the other person through to the semis beating Dave Ferrett (Camelford WMI).
Barrie Mcintosh and James Hendry (St Blazey AFC) enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win in the pairs and defending champions, Gary Bray and Graham Denning (Clinton SC) also made it into the semis with a 4-1 win. There were 4-2 wins for Charlie Gay and Carl Boundy (St Day) and Kieran Lynch and Bob Stephens (Bugle WMC).
Daniel Barsley will play Darran Lock (Looe SC) in the final of the under 21 snooker, Daniel defeated Simon Hosking (Penponds) 3-1 while Darran won a black ball decider 3-2 against Jamie Read.
In the handicap Snooker, Bobby Southworth (SCR) had a 3-2 win over James Hendry (+10) to progress to the semis and Paul Williams (-14) defeated Tim Johnson (+18) Godolphin Cross by the same score. Bob Stephens (+14) also went through as did Anthony Williams (SCR) (St Day) who edged out Chris Timmins (-14) 3-2.
Roy Good (SCR) (Breage SC) will play John Daniell (Lostwithiel SC) in the over 45's handicap final.
