Clinton SC A hold a ten point lead over Bell's Court in Division 1 of the Mining Snooker League, with Redruth RBL a further six points.

While Clinton A beat Redruth British Rail 4-2, Bell's Court gained two points with a 6-0 whitewash of Pool. Jason Kempthorne and Paul Matthews were British Rail's winners against Clinton SC A. All the other matches ended in 3-3 draws.

Division 2 leaders Godolphin A had a bye last week and Penponds beat Four Lanes B 4-1, aided by a 36 break from Clive Thomas, who beat Ryan Curnow. Camborne Conser-vative are still in a handy position, and last week beat Redruth British Rail 4-1. Clinton SC's victory over St Day included a 31 break by Richard Mitchell, and a 42 break by Stephen Veasey, who went on to lose the frame to St Day's Percy Hosking. Porthleven got back on track with a 3-2 victory over Camborne RBL.

In Division 3 Playing Place are putting in a strong challenge for honours, and are now just two points behind long-time leaders Redruth RBL Youth.

While the Youth team were winning 4-1 at Redruth Club C, Playing Place secured another 5-0 win over Redruth Club B, and have now taken 13 points from a possible 15 in the last three weeks. Park Bottom, 3-2 winners over Redruth British Rail, Camborne Conservative, Perran-porth Golf Club, Feock and Redruth Club A are all still in with a chance of honours, underlining how close the battle is in this Division.
