At first glance it appears that children in Garras may have enjoyed more snow than the rest of the area as an igloo has sprung up in their primary school playground.
However, on closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the "igloo" is in fact a dome-shaped hut, carefully constructed out of bendable willow branches.
The hut is the idea of pupils at Garras Primary School, who, when asked what they would like to see introduced to the school, decided on somewhere to give them shade from the sun during the hot summer months.
The result is a "living" wigwam-like structure that will grow thicker over the coming months and years. It was put up by Gwyneth Evans, from Creative Living Willow, to the interest of pupils who watched part of the process during break time.
Pauline Arnold, school secretary, said: "It's very good and quite a complicated structure really. As far as I know, all the children think it's good and are enjoying it."
