A fast growing Cornish company is on TRAC for further expansion in 2007 after taking on two new members of staff.

TRAC Services, which recently moved to new offices at Tolvaddon Energy Park, has recruited science graduates Aaron Dee and Sarah Haywood to support the growing number of national and multinational clients the company is working with.

Formed in 2001 by Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan, TRAC Services provides consulting services to pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and healthcare companies.

Aaron (25) joins TRAC as part of its Regulatory Affairs team. A graduate of Imperial College in London where he studied chemistry, Aaron has worked in the IT sector since returning to Cornwall at the end of 2004.

"I always wanted to come back to Cornwall after graduating butrealisedthat there would be very limited opportunities to apply my chemistry degree professionally. So to be able to secure a position with TRAC and work with nationally and internationallyrecognisedorganisationsin my chosen field is fantastic," said Aaron.

Aaron is joined by Sarah Haywood (25) who has worked at Helston School for the past 18 months as a Lab Technician.

In addition to working on the Regulatory Affairs side of the business, Sarah will also be supporting the Readability Testing team at TRAC, helping develop improved Patient Information Leaflets.

"After studying genetics at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, I moved to Cornwall and have now lived here for nearly two years. Initially I thought that I would struggle to find a graduate career in a scientific field, so I was really pleased to see a company advertising such a position."

TRAC Director Sarah Trethowan, the company has not only been able to create knowledge-based career opportunities within the county but has been able to tap into high quality graduates with science related degrees through the highly successful Unlocking Cornish Potential Scheme.

"We are delighted to have secured the services of Aaron and Sarah who have fitted in brilliantly into the team. We are working in aspecialisedsector and through working with UCP have been able to match our requirements with the right caliber of candidate, which has been invaluable," said Sarah.
