A Penryn-based telecommunications company is celebrating after taking on its 5,000th business customer.
4tel, which supplies businesses across the UK with a range of landline, broadband, mobile and 08 number services have just secured the milestone customer figure.
Company Director's Steven Groom and Andrew Brindley who launched the company in 2002, believe the range of services offered combined with a focus on customer service has helped 4tel establish a loyal and growing customer base across the UK.
"We are absolutely delighted to have secured our 5,000th customer in what is only our fifth year. As each year has passed we have not only seen a growing demand for our services but have retained a strong and loyal client base - unusual for a business within such a competitive market.
"When we launched the company in 2002 it was against a backdrop of a telecoms industry that was suffering from a negative image largely brought about by businesses operating within it that were providing poor customer service combined with bad infrastructure - which could not stand the test of time.
"From the outset we have focused firmly on providing our clients with a range of telephone services and products that have suited their particular needs - whether a large company or a sole trader working from home, every business can benefit from our services." said Steven.
The business is now hoping to build on its success and in the long term hopes to become a major name in the UK business telecoms sector. It also hopes to help businesses across Cornwall get the most from their telephone services.
"Although we are based in Cornwall, the majority of our clients come from outside the county, so we hope to be able to build our customer base in Cornwall, where we feel our knowledge and expertise can help the thousands of businesses within the county save money and enjoy a better service," added Steven.
