SEA Sanctuary will be holding a car wash fundraising event at Asda in Penryn on Saturday.
The Falmouth based charity, is an innovative project which aims to provide mental health care for both children and adults in the nautical surroundings of a boat.
Asda have kindly agreed to switch their car wash off for the day which means the group will be washing cars by hand instead.
Joseph Sabien, project director, said: "We will be asking for a donation from the customers in line with what they would normally pay for the car wash. Naturally, should they wish to donate anymore, that would be greatly received."
The group of volunteer car washers will be around 20 strong and all money is going to fund the Arctic Challenge in 2008 in support of Sea Sanctuary.
