Gweneve has joined the hanging boats at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall's flotilla gallery.
With the same careful lady owner for over 70 years, she looks as good as new and still has much of her original equipment in pristine condition.
Gweneve was built to be carried on board the steam yacht Joyeuse, owned by George Hamilton Fletcher.
Today, Mr Fletcher would be known as a wealthy super yacht owner, being able to afford to build a sailing boat solely for his two young daughters to use while his steam yacht lay in port.
The boat's name is derived from Mr Fletcher's daughters' names, Gwendoline and Eve, and was used by the family for 72 years and presented to the museum by Mr Fletcher's daughter Gwendoline Wingfield-Digby.
The boat still carries much of her original equipment and her sails are 50 years old.
Andy Wyke, the museum's boat collection manager, explained: "It is very rare to receive a boat that has only had one owner and is in such pristine condition. She is a truly beautiful boat and quite a special part of our flotilla gallery."
"Such was Gwendolyn's passion for her boat, Gweneve went everywhere with her, even being shipped especially to the Hebrides for a family holiday."
