Talented twins from Porthleven nearly had to do a double take after they were announced as the winners of a national design award.
Twin brothers Sam and Will Boex, from Porthleven-based 3D design company Zero4, received the award for Best Patient Environment at the Building Better Healthcare Awards, through their work on the interior of Longreach House, Redruth.
They beat hundreds of other designers from across the UK to scoop the award, which they were presented during a glittering awards ceremony at The Hilton Metropole in London.
Sam said: "We are really surprised and flattered to have been commended for our design work. This is such a competitive industry, with so many other talented designers around the UK, that we really weren't expecting to be bringing an award back to Cornwall."
This most recent award follows a number of others, including their designs for the Royal Cornwall Museum "Wish You Were Here" exhibition, which won best in show at the Cornwall Design Week.
Zero4 was founded in 2004 by Sam Boex and has since been going from strength to strength. In 2006, due to Sam's increasing workload, twin brother Will joined the company to help plan and oversee the projects. In between work, the pair manage to find the time to be semi-professional surfers.
Zero4 specialises in 3D design and delivers a service to clients where unusual, bespoke briefs are made a reality with their technical, practical and creative abilities.
