BLUE Flame (Cornwall) Ltd is a locally-based, experienced company employing some 30 staff all dedicated to providing their customers with a high quality, specialist service in the gas appliance service, maintenance and installation market place.

The company has also recently diversified into the provision of service and maintenance to solid fuel appliances.

Now Blue Flame is pleased to announce its relocation to a newly-built, purpose designed, 10,000 square foot operational centre/depot at Energy House, on the Kernick Industrial Estate, at Penryn. The impressive facilities will enable the company to focus further on improving standards and providing additional training for staff from a specialist training suite within the building. A much larger storage area will enable Blue Flame to house additional stock lines and, in addition, the new, modern office suite facilities will offer enhanced surroundings and improved working conditions and services to benefit the staff and customers alike.

The company was originally formed as a partnership in October 1988, when its two current directors, Paul Smith and Mark Bolitho, left the employment of British Gas where they had been employed since leaving school. Drawing on their experience and training, the company has enjoyed steady and managed growth over the past 18 years providing its services to private and public sector customers alike.

Built on a strong ethic of customers' satisfaction and excellent service, Blue Flame has recognised that investment in people and training will ensure these values are upheld into the future. From the outset the firm embarked on employing local school leavers and training them as engineers through an approved apprenticeship scheme. To date the company has trained 12 apprentices, four of who are current and in various stages of the apprenticeship programme. This system is now being implemented within the administration and office set-up to ensure parallel operational development.
