Police in Redruth have made a fresh appeal in their search for a missing woman.

They are also seeking help from the public in finding the vulnerable 65-year-old Kay Hawke, last seen at her Redruth, Cornwall address at 8.30am on Thursday December 28 2006.

She left in the family car - a green Ford Mondeo registered number P491PRL At the time she went missing she was believed to be wearing a hooped pattern night dress with diagonal stripes and a full length dressing gown. She may also have a grey fleece and green waterproof jacket with her.

Her family is very worried about her and officers have started searches in the area for the car hoping it will indicate where Kay may be.

Kay is described as a white woman, 5.06" tall, medium build, dark hair in a bob style.

Despite extensive police enquiries and appeals by her family through the press, Kay has not been in touch with and member of her family.

She is known to have relatives in the Aldershot area and local people are asked to report any sighting of her.

Anyone who may have seen Kay or her green Mondeo is asked to contact the police on 08452 777 444 quoting police reference 190 281206.

This morning, officers searching for Mrs Hawke have called a public meeting for interested parties to attend in March 12.A letter has been sent to around 40 organisations who may be able to help in the search for Kay - they include landowners and other groups can assist the enquiry."I am writing to appeal for your help in assisting Devon and Cornwall Constabulary who are investigating the disappearance of Kay Hawke, a 66 year old woman from St Day.
