The port's bunkering operation has come to a grinding halt in the past few days with both of its bunkering tankers - the Whitchampion and Whitstar - currently away working in other ports bunkering.
Whitstar is working in Immingham whilst Whitchampion sailed from Falmouth on Sunday afternoon for Port Talbot, where she is bunkering the bulk carriers Kate and Atlantic Bridge. Whitchampion is expected to berth here tomorrow to load for Pembroke.
It is understood that bunkering activity in the port will be quiet for a couple of weeks as repairs are being made to storage tanks in the Falmouth Oil Services tank farm.
