The Royal Fleet Auxiliaries Largs Bay and Mounts Bay are scheduled to undergo repairs at the docks during the next six weeks.
First to arrive in mid-March is RFA Largs Bay which is undergoing an annual certification programme. She will remain alongside until April 6, when she sails.
A&P management are provisionally pencilling in a slot in their shiprepair programme for the RFA Mounts Bay to drydock during April, although A&P Falmouth commercial director David Daniel said that this still has to be confirmed.
The Bay ships Largs Bay, Mounts Bay, Cardigan Bay and Lyme Bay form part of the UK's amphibious strike assault force working alongside HM ships Bulwark, Albion and Ocean. In a secondary role the Bay ships are well suited to disaster relief and humanitarian missions.
