HORNETS 10pts CAMBORNE 3pts
CAMBORNE returned empty handed from Weston-super-Mare having gone down narrowly to third from bottom Hornets in a scrappy South West Two League game.
In a late change Cameron Bone was drafted in on the Cherry and White wing replacing Mark Rogers.
There was little to choose between the sides in the first half with the home side leading 3-0 at the break courtesy of a 20th minute penalty kicked by Paul Sheppard.
Soon after the interval visiting fly half David Mankee levelled before just failing with another penalty shot.
Hornets put together a flowing handling movement ending with a 50th minute try by full back Rob Dempsey who had an impressive game throughout. The try was converted by Sheppard for a 10-3 scoreline.
