MOUSEHOLE Res' hopes of avoiding relegation in the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League division one suffered a knock when they were beaten 3-2 at home by Chacewater.
Hayle Res' title hopes suffered another setback when they went down 2-1 at home to Falmouth Albion. Simon Spear and Andy Philpott had Albion's goals.
In division two in-form St Keverne produced another fine performance to demolish Carharrack 5-0. The goals came from Alan Thomas (3), John Smith and Daniel Peters.
Matt Gendall scored for Marazion, but Perranporth Res took the points with a 2-1 win and Pendeen also showed goalscoring form with a 5-1 win at Helston III.
In division three Frogpool/Cusgarne won 6-0 against Trevenson United Res and Porthleven Rangers were 5-0 winners against Hayle IV after scoring through Neil Bartlett (2), Simon Hubbard (2), and Rob Hitchens.
Lizard Argyle Res won 6-1 at Cury and Troon Res and Carharrack Res drew 1-1.
Wendron Res are through to the next round of the Percy Stephens Cup following their 2-0 win at Helston.
In the Barker Bowl Mawnan Res were 2-0 winners at Falmouth Town III. A superb 25-yard strike by Andrew Winnan was followed by a late Andrew Julian goal.
Hayle III are also in the semi-finals after winning 2-1 away to Rosudgeon who scored through Terry Bryant.
St Day Res trounced Constantine 7-1 with Cy Prynn notching the home team's goal.
In the Wheatly Cobb Cup Ruan Minor were 4-0 winners against Mullion Res after scoring through Chris Ensink (2), Kevin Tutton, and Ben Trerise.
* All clubs in the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League should note that with immediate effect registration of players by telephone is no longer permited under any circumstances following an appeal by Stithians FC to the Cornwall County FA.
