DEFENDING champions, Wendron CC continued to stretch their lead at the top of division I of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League after an 8-1 win over Mounts Bay B.
Helston RBL A are opening up a gap from the pack in second spot after defeating rivals Helston FC A 6-3 after trailing 3-2 at one point while White Hart B moved back into third spot after coming from 2-0 down to defeat Lizard FC A 5-4.
Three Tuns A helped themselves at the bottom with an 8-1 win over the Seven Stars, only losing the last doubles to claim a whitewash while wins from Kevin Bosustow, Paul Williams and Simon Dann helped Mullion FC to a 5-4 win over Porthleven FC A.
In division II, Paris B continue to lead the division and last week they defeated the Crown Inn A 7-2 and are eight points clear of the Bell who defeated the Star Inn 6-3.
Helston RBL F moved into third spot with a superb 8-1 win over Red Lion A and White Hart C dropped back to fourth despite defeating Constantine SC 5-4. Harbour B won 7-2 against the Tophouse and wins from Ian Laity, Steve Hoskin, Gary Blake and Matt Gammons helped White Hart A to a 5-4 win over Paris A.
Breage SC A moved two points clear at the top of division III with a 7-2 win over Gweek C, they are ahead of the Godolphin Club who were 4-0 up in their 5-4 win over Helston FC B.
White Hart D moved ahead of Breage SC B after defeating them 5-4 while wins from Dave Leonard, Simon Powell, Lee Powell and Tom Wadsworth helped Porthleven FC B to a 7-2 win over Lizard FC B.
Bottom side Prince of Wales A defeated Tophouse B 5-4.
Brothers Ben Tremayne and Steve Tremayne both won for the Beehive A team but their team lost 7-2 to division IV leaders Three Tuns B while the Crown Inn B team were 3-0 down against the Lion and Lamb B team, but won the next six games for a 6-3 victory.
Wins from Tony Moss, Josh Barnecutt and Geoff Wright put the Gweek Inn B team well on the way to a 6-3 victory over the Queens Arms, Breage and both Helston RBL C and Helston RBL D had 6-3 wins over their opposition.
In the remaining game still to be played in the quarter finals of the team knockout, Helston CC A defeated Mullion FC A 5-3 and will play Helston RBL B in the semi final.
