FOURTEEN-year-old Jordan Antrobus scored his second "hole in one" in less than a month at Mullion GC, writes Gerry Fitter.
His second success was achieved at the same hole -the 11th - a par 3 150 yard hole.
On Tuesday Mullion Golf Club held their annual ladies and junior greensomes competition. In dry and sunny conditions 20 mixed pairs of ladies and juniors were led off the first tee by lady captain Carole Bennett and for the juniors, vice captain Alan Lieske.
There were some excellent scores even though the competition was reduced to 14 holes due to the previous weeks bad weather.
Presentation of the vouchers and the trophy donated by Stewart Bull was made by Carole Bennett and Alan Lieske.
With a magnificent score for 14 holes, the winners were: 1, Dorothy Midgley and Ed Sherlock, 40 pts; 2, Jill Simmons and Phil Pascoe, 36 pts (B.9); 3. Lydia Gilbert and Ben Williams, 36pts; 4, Sharon Moyle and Alex Hickey, 34pts (B.9).
The juniors were again restricted to play only fourteen holes in the Mullion Junior Stableford competition on Saturday due to previous bad weather, but this did not stop them playing some excellent golf and returning some very good scores.
Division One: 1, Alan Lieske, 34pts; 2, Jordan Antrobus, 33pts (B.9); 3, Ed Sherlock, 33pts Division Two: 1, Callum Alexander, 34pts; 2, Sam Orchard, 32pts; 3, Keenan Foster, 31pts.
Craig Sadler again dominated the Black Tee competition and won it with 36 points from Craig Kimpton with 32 points.
This result will now promote Craig Sadler up to join the other juniors.
