Two local artists have combined forces to develop the first ever exhibition oforiginal paintings to take place at The Ship Inn, Porthleven.
There will be over 30 paintings on show depicting the beautifully varied coastline from Mullion through Porthleven to Mounts Bay.
Andrew Barrowman has produced a series of oils, and Stephen Williams has painted watercolours and acrylics, which complement each other very well, giving the viewer the chance to see how two artists painting similar subject matter arrive at different conclusions.
Andrew and Stephen were planning to exhibit in 2007, and thought combining their work would be a good idea, all they needed was a venue. A casual chat with Colin at the Ship Inn provided the answer - The Smithy, a building with oak beams and large open fireplace lending itself perfectly for an exhibition that takes an intimate look at the coastline from Mullion to Mounts Bay, centring on Porthleven.
The exhibition runs for two weeks from March 5 to March 18, and is open between 12 midday and 7pm. Entry is free.
