A Penryn businessman believes he is the target of a personal vendetta after suffering a fourth attack of vandalism in three weeks.
When Nick Congdon, formerly of NC Valeting and who now runs boat valeting company Mariner's Mate, arrived at his business on the West End industrial estate, he found the windscreen of one of his vans smashed.
Lying beside the vehicle was a large brick.
It was the fourth incident of vandalism on his vehicles. In the first attack, his 4x4 Isuzu was spray-painted white, causing £1,500 worth of damage.
Damage totalling £500 to a CC Cabs vehicle - belonging to his brother but with Mr Congdon's personalised number plate on it - plus a long scratch down the side of Mr Congdon's BMW, have also been caused.
In the latest incident, the windscreen of the VW Caddy van was smashed, causing £180 worth of damage.
Mr Congdon said he believed that the trouble was connected to him selling valeting company NC Valeting and setting up Mariner's Mate. He said: "Someone has got it in for NC Valeting and Mariner's Mate. If it's jealousy or what, I don't know."
He added that he did not think too much about it the first time, but now believed "a grudge or jealousy is going on".
Mr Congdon is offering a £50 reward for information leading to the vandals being caught.
He can be contacted on 07970 001129.
