Actress Gaynor Faye proves she's the talk of the town as she launches the Cornwall Recycle Now Spring Home Composting Campaign with a series of stunning photos.

The Dancing On Ice star looks in full bloom as she poses to highlight the benefits of home composting.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging Cornwall to keep its gardens in bloom by getting more people recycling kitchen and garden waste - and was launched with a survey which names the rose as Cornwall's favourite flower.

The benefits of home composting are twofold, as they can benefit both the environment and the garden. Home composting allows households to recycle kitchen and garden waste rather than send it to landfill where it releases methane - a gas which contributes to global warming.

Also, the compost produced can be used on the garden to help soil retain moisture and help plants stay alive during the increasingly hot summers.

English rose, Gaynor, said: "By composting at home we can protect the environment and make sure that Cornwall's favourite flowers continue to look amazing."

Throughout 2007 residents living in Cornwall will be able to buy a 220 litre compost bin for £8, a 330 litre bin for £10 or the 250 litre KOMP compost bin for £20.
