The hunt is on in Falmouth for residents willing to provide accommodation for students from Vilagarcia in North West Spain in July.
The move follows the establishing of links between Falmouth and the Spanish town reported in last week's Packet.
The Falmouth and Vilagarcia business and Cultural Links Association wants to set up strong commercial and cultural links between the two towns and even see a ferry service established with a view to important and exporting local goods.
But chairman Mrs Julia Dean's priority at present is to find accommodation for the students due to visit Falmouth in the summer.
" I am hoping to find somewhere they can stay together and the responsibility for looking after them can then stay with their own tutors," she said.
If any Packet reader can help they are asked to contact Mrs Dean via the Packet newsdesk at editorial@packetseries.co.uk The links between the two towns was first established last year when a delegation from Falmouth went to Vilagarcia and vice versa.
When in Spain, the mayor of Falmouth Roger Bonney and other members of the council visited the local yacht club, a British Cemetery which contains the remains of a number of British sailors and the town hall.
